Canvas Flower Necklace

I made this a while ago with my SIL's Andrea and Leslie and my mom.  It has just taken me a while to post it.  We modeled it after a cute necklace that Andrea had bought!    It was way simple to make - we just cut circles out of canvas (6 per flower), glued them onto felt circles and then attached them all together.  We used a ribbon as the tie part and DONE!

Necklace and Bracelet

I haven't really ever gotten into the whole jewelry making thing, but I found this cute pendant at Hobby Lobby the other day and I couldn't resist.  I got the beads at Wal-Mart (of all places) and this is the finished project.  I wore it to church on Sunday and got many compliments.

Knitted Bangle Bracelet

I saw how to make these a while ago and I finally got around to getting it done.  I just took an old bangle bracelet and knitted a cover for it then stitched it on.  It actually turned out pretty cute.  My wrists are freakishly small so it looks kind of funny on me but other than that it's good.

Pendants

They aren't on scrabble tiles because I couldn't find any.  I actually made these pendants on some small wood pieces that my mom had left over from a craft project she did.  They worked really well.  I made a total of 9.  These are just a few of my favorites.  Thanks Andrea for the diamond glaze so I could finish this little project.  Another item on my craft to-do list can be checked off!

One to-do project done!

I finally went somewhere Saturday and picked up some craft supplies.  I made this bracelet and necklace in 15 minutes or less.  They go together way quick and it turned out cute.  I'm thinking of getting some different colored pearls and ribbon and seeing what I can come up with.  Anyway, I can scratch this off of my to do list - one down, a ton more to go!

A couple of things

I got this craft from my SIL Leslie's Super Saturday. They NEVER do super saturday here so I ordered a couple projects through her ward. I love this one. It was way easy too. I just painted the boards brown, added some cute scrapbook paper, and then nailed the sheet metal cut outs onto the board. It turned out really cute and I can hardly wait for our new house so I can hang it up somewhere.

A watch band for my mom

A padded camera strap for myself - I ordered one online a month ago and have yet to see hide nor hair of it. So, I gave up and decided to figure it on my own. I got some help from this site:

A sheet metal picture holder with homemade magnets - I got this one from my SIL Leslie's Super Saturday also. The wording was supposed to say : MEMORIES, but I didn't really like that so I had her change it to: A picture is worth a thousand words. Then I just put the vinyl on, made some cute little magnets (with Andrea's help) and added some pics and WALA!

Beaded watch bands and Spaghetti Sauce

This post is two craft/projects that I have done this past week. The first one is beaded watch bands. My SIL Andrea bought some of these and a watch face off a website (not sure which one) and my SIL Tonia ordered a watch face and then made her own. I took my cue from her because I figured I could do it cheaper myself and I was looking for an easy project to do. I ordered the watch face for like $6.00 and then bought the beads from Joanns. I have a couple more to make but here are the first two. They are so easy and it only took me like 15 minutes (or less) to make each one.

The next project I did yesterday - and it took all day I swear. I bottled spaghetti sauce. I actually got more than when I bottled the chili sauce so it was a success. I got 19 pints (21 if we hadn't have had spaghetti for dinner - the sauce smelled so good we just had to use some). It takes up a whole day but I love seeing the end product all bottled and ready to store away. I'm hoping to keep it up until the garden stops producing.
