I made this yesterday and I L.O.V.E. how it turned out! It's a place to display all the wonderful projects my little guys make for me - instead of plastering them all over the fridge. It was super simple to make which is even better. All I did was take a 20 x 8 piece of pine (which I cut myself since Aaron is out of town) and then I painted the edges and back a off white color. I then cut some cute scrapbook paper and distressed the edges with brown ink and mod-podged it on. While that was drying I mod podged a coordinating paper onto 5 clothespins and cut out some 3 in. vinyl lettering (first time using the cricut for vinyl - LOVE IT!!). When the board was dry, I glued the clothespins on with the glue gun and then added the letters. I still have to figure out how I'm going to hang it. I'm thinking I will just put some picture hangers on the back and be done with it. I might screw some holes and wire it up, but I'm not sure yet. Anyway, it was super easy and took less then an hour from start to finish.

Super cute!!! I love the idea. I don't have a cricut or a circular saw, so I am trying to figure out how I could do it. I do have a board I bought awhile back that I could use, but it's kind of small. Hmmmm... I'll have to think
ReplyDeleteVery good idea. Where do you get all your cute paper?
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I love the idea of having a place for all those papers a mom just can't throw out!
ReplyDeleteCute Idea! I am thinking it doing the same thing but putting "Honey Do List" on it as I work weekends and my dear hubbie always forgets what I need him to do.
ReplyDeleteFor Sadie: Home Depot and Lowes will cut the board for you. You can also buy stickers or chipboard for the letters.
That is so cute! Thanks for linking!
