Canning!

This year I did a couple new things:

PLUM JAM!
(The property we bought to build our house on had 2 established plum trees on it so I made good use of them this year.)

APPLESAUCE!
(I've always been told that applesauce is hard to make and takes a long time.  NOT TRUE!  It took me an hour and a half from start to finish!)

And of course, our favorite:

PEARS!!

Feeling Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year.  The evenings get cooler, the days aren't so hot, holidays are just around the corner.  Here are a couple of things I made for fall this year:

Fall Paper Windmills

September's word of the month

Wooden letters - I didn't want to just paint them so I found some cute fall-ish paper and modpodged it on.

Baby gift

A friend of mine recently had a sweet baby boy.  I gave him this little puff quilt:

and this diaper changing pad:

PS I was recently asked if I had a tutorial for the puff quilts that I make.  Sorry, but as of now, I don't.  Next time I find myself making one though, I will put a tutorial together for those who were interested.

September Tablerunner

Here is this months' tablerunner:

I love the way the colors and everything go together!  This was one of the easier ones to make.

Necklace and Bracelet

I haven't really ever gotten into the whole jewelry making thing, but I found this cute pendant at Hobby Lobby the other day and I couldn't resist.  I got the beads at Wal-Mart (of all places) and this is the finished project.  I wore it to church on Sunday and got many compliments.

PS I'm almost up to 100 followers so a giveaway will be coming soon!
