Supplies needed:
1x8 piece of pine (mine is cut to 16 in. for this one - the first one I made was 20 in)
Mod Podge
Paint
3 sheets of coordinating scrapbook paper - 2 for the board 1 for the clothespins
Ink pad
Paper Trimmer
Sponge Brush
Hot glue gun
Vinyl Lettering
Step 1: Paint the edges and back of your sanded board
Step 2: While the paint is drying cut 2 sheets of scrapbook paper to fit the front of the board - these were 7 3/4 in. x 8 in.
Step 3: Apply mod podge to the front of your board
then smooth your paper on
Make sure to get out any wrinkles or bubbles - let that dry.
Step 4: Distress the edges with a coordinating ink pad - I used a dark brown.
Step 5: Apply a layer of mod podge over the top to seal it.
Step 6: While your board is drying - trim coordinating paper to cover clothespins. I used 4 for this size of board.
then mod podge the paper onto your clothespins.
Step 7: Add your vinyl brag board lettering
Step 8: Glue the clothespins onto the board using a hot glue gun. I spaced mine every 4 inches.
Then add a hook to the back so you can hang it on the wall.
DONE!
This is a project that is on my to do list, but I bought bigger clothes pins! Brock keeps asking when I am going to get it done!
ReplyDeleteThis is on my "to craft" list too. It's such a great idea. Thanks for the tutorial. I forgot to tell you that I started a craft blog just as a place to keep track of my many projects... Nothing special, but you can check it out if you want. I also have a link to it on my main blog.
